After an Age...
hello to one n all..!i'm back yet again after another exile.....its amazing how i wake up from my slumber suddenly...post new stuff on my blog...n blissfully fall right back into the slumber again!!now...i've realized that the best way to vent out my feelings{read: frustration, gloominess n occasional happiness}...is through my poems...i can say stuff through them which will take me ages to form in prose/dialogue...so here goes the latest one....{older ones may follow...} A HIDDEN REASON DOES LIE
Sitting idle, some time ago
I began to wonder why
Why do some things happen?
While others just quietly slip by
Why do we live in fantasies?
Which some time or the other do break
Why do we crave for getting so much?
When all the world does is take
Why does the river so joyously flow?
When it ultimately loses itself to the sea
Why do clouds shed their tears?
Knowing that on falling to ground, they’ll cease to be
Why do we hope and pray?
Despite knowing that we’ll lose to fate
Why do we fall in love?
When ultimately it’ll end in hate
Why does the moon-shine
Knowing well that its shine is not his own
Why do stars bother to twinkle?
Even though by day break, they’ll not be shown
Why do we strive for joy?
Even though it’ll be stolen by pain
Why do we try to be rational?
Despite knowing that we’ll end up insane
Why does the day come?
When it knows it’ll end in night
Why does a bird teach her kid to fly?
Even though she knows he’ll soon fly and go out of sight
Why do we bother living?
Even though our end is death
Why do we make an effort?
If later all that we’ll do is regret
Sitting idle, sometime ago
I slowly understood why
I understood why life is like it is
And that beneath all nonsense a hidden reason does lie
