rags to riches...

hey people....am updating after quite some time...n my update might seem like a bit odd....but think abt it...
look around you.....n you can see plenty of examples of the usual rags to riches stories.....we've heard them so many times in so many different ways......a person of no great background with just a few pennies in hand one day becomes a great professional...buisness man etc......through....yes...only hard work n determination....
now you may be wondering why am i going on abt this nonsense that everyone knows.....its because of this book i've been reading....A Woman of Substance....by Barbara Taylor Bradford...its been made into a movie as well....
its your usual rags to riches story for sure....but with its own uniqueness like all others....a simple maid....who doesnt dream beyong her reach as she doesnt know what money holds......but soon due to the turn of events she realizes money spells power....of which she is in dire need to avenge herself....she works day n night.....relentlessly.... n one day her toil pays off....she becomes the biggest buisnesswoman......even overtaking the buisness of the family she wanted revenge on.......but she is alone.....all alone... despite having a family..a family she was forced to start for sake of her plan of becoming big one day ......n once again she has to fight......but this time....the fight is against whom she believed to be her family.....for they too....turn like other rich snobs planning to kill her for money....this family was made on the sacrifce of a family that could have been with the man she loved but couldnt be made as it was so needed for her plan to materialize...
it really makes you think....of all inspiring aspects in life....the greatest will always be that of revenge......one can go to any extent just to prove himself better than his enemy......but in the end of it.....what does it matter.....
i know most of my materialistic moneyminded friends will beg to differ here....giving the practical aspect -money gets you everywhere in life....agreed....definitely money is the bane of existence.....but where will you go.....if you have no one with you to be there.....what measures does the happiness of success hold....if u have no one to share it with n double it....
that is what this book did....reinstated in me the belief that yes.....money is the bane of existence...but love n family are the bane of life......n there lies a world of difference between existing and living.....
an entire world of money cant buy a single ounce of love.....n though money is neccessary..,..its not the single most important thing to the exclusion of all else.
run after money.....for thats the need of the world today....but not so tirelessly n blindly that you leave all else behind.
well.....extremely long post.....n with just the same point stated again n again ....i know....but this is something i truly realized....so felt like sharing.....anyways i'll take a leave now....wrote too much.....so bye bye ....Ta'rar{ yorkshire expression for bye ...read in the book}

um..sui yes i agree tht da 2 things must go hand in hand...balance is required but just an example...wat if dat woman ignored her family in da process of gettin da fame money etc...then i think she deserves 2 be killed!!!!!

im glad to hear ur views..no offence..but i still differ in the point coz i believe happiness is happiness....whatever form it may be in.....n yea money does buy happiness but to only a materialistic level...a happiness which can lose all its essence in just a jiffy....leaving u bereaved in a manner uncomprehendible...
